The Witcher: Monster Slayer Perfect Parry: How to block damage

The Witcher: Monster Slayer is out now on mobile devices, with a wide range of nasty monsters to take out. You play as a newly trained Witcher in this fantastical land, with the task of helping residents with quests, and ridding the world of the evil scourge of monsters. Of course, not every fight is a walk in the park and you’ll need as much sword proficiency as you can get. We’ve got the lowdown on The Witcher: Monster Slayer perfect parry, and how to block damage most effectively.

How to block damage with Perfect Parry in The Witcher: Monster Slayer

The Witcher Monster Slayer perfect parry

To achieve a perfect parry in The Witcher: Monster Slayer, you’ll need to tap and hold in the center of the screen. This will raise your sword up, and protect your body from an oncoming attack. If you can time your parry to just before the attack lands, it’ll register as a perfect parry.

When in the midst of battle, perfect parries are what you’ll need to defeat the hardest monsters. While a normal parry will block some damage, the perfect parry will block the most damage, and keep you alive for longer. You also get a neat XP bonus after the battle if you manage to pull off a perfect parry during the fight. It’s all about getting your timing just right, though – so plenty of practice will be needed.

As The Witcher: Monster Slayer only came out today, you’ll have plenty of time to get your perfect parry right as the game continues to evolve. So far there’s a range of monsters to battle, like Ghouls, Alghouls and Kikimore Workers – and if you can get your parries on point, you can make light work of them.

In other The Witcher: Monster Slayer news, we’ve got all the details on how to defeat the game’s first boss, the Devourer. We’ve also got a friend codes list, so you can link up with some fellow Witchers.
