The Doom Eternal Skullface skin is one of the coolest skins in the entire game and it’s in the new update that welcomed in The Ancient Gods Part 2. But players aren’t just given this skin. They have to earn it. Here’s how to get the Doom Eternal Skullface skin.

To get the Skullface skin in Doom Eternal, players have to complete The Ancient Gods Part 2 on Ultra Nightmare. Once complete, the game will dole out this coveted skin where the Slayer’s face is appropriately a skull.

As of now, there is no other way to get this skin and there likely won’t be. This is going to be a very difficult challenge for most people since Ultra Nightmare not only has the toughest enemies, but it also only gives players one life. Dying resets their progress like a true roguelike (without the randomization, obviously).

Thankfully the DLC is only three full levels and boss level, clocking in around two or three hours. This brevity makes it somewhat more manageable, but still a tough challenge. Be ready to practice a lot, especially against that tricky final boss.

Very few people have gotten the skin so far since the DLC has barely been out for a day. Reddit user Moltyn posted their screen shot of the skin on the popular forum, giving players a good look at the costume that’s just barely a blip on most people’s screens.

The main game and The Ancient Gods Part 1 also have similar skins for beating their respective campaigns on Ultra Nightmare. The main game gives players an all-gold skin while The Ancient Gods Part 1 gives players an all-gold skin of the Makyr variant. Thankfully, the new Barbarian skin is much easier to get.
