The Nioh 2 The First Samurai Kukai’s brush locations are quite discreet, given that they aren’t a green Kodama or a steaming hot spring. These brushes are found in the “Words of Respite” side mission and getting all of the brushes unlocks the “Honoring the Dead” trophy. It also opens up the “Undying Light” side mission, much how like saving all the Mujina unlocks another side mission and getting all the Grilled Tang Sweets unlocks the “Ancient Allure” side mission. How to find the Nioh 2 The First Samurai Kukai’s brushes
Brush #1
The first brush is right in the beginning in the row of shacks with bloody puddles everywhere. Look to the side where the Kodama was in the regular mission. Go up that ramp the arrow is pointing to.
Continue up that path.
There will be a bigger shack at the end of that path. Go to it.
Break those boxes and grab that brush.
Brush #2
The second brush is in that big burning building by one of the big gates at the end of the row of shacks.
Go into that big house and go toward the blobby Nupeppo at the back. Kill it along with the other enemies.
The brush is at the back on a corpse.
Brush #3
The third brush is in the dark area with the blobby enemies and giant, very difficult bird yokai. Go into the house with the arrow pointing to it.
The brush is in the back of that house, which is directly in front of the player in the above picture.
Brush #4
The final brush is at the end of the path that’s either down the ladders from the very start of the level or right after the bird yokai fight, depending on the approach. Regardless, it’s at the end of a path near some tough yokai, including the above four-armed one.
Kill them all and then go into the dead end. Loot the items at that end and the fourth brush will be one of them. This completes the mission, earns a trophy, and opens up a later side mission.
