When is the Fallout 76 Steel Dawn release date?
Bethesda has confirmed that the Fallout 76 Steel Dawn release date will be sometime in December 2020. Unfortunately, it has declined to specify the exact day that it is arriving. That said, it’s likely that it will try to get this new content out to players before Christmas so that they can enjoy it over the holidays.
“Steel Dawn is the first chapter in the new Brotherhood of Steel questline, free for Fallout 76 players,” read the web page for the new Fallout 76 update. Paladin Leila Rahmani and her troops have arrived from California to establish a new Appalachian chapter.”
The new Fallout 76 Steel Dawn questline will let players work with the Brotherhood of Steel in various ways. Players can opt to work with or against the other factions in the game in this new questline. For example, players can opt to choose between the Raider or Settler factions, both of which have their own reputation rewards for players to unlock.
Current information on the Steel Dawn update also suggests that players will likely see new Brotherhood of Steel settlements in the game, although there isn’t yet any information on where these new locations will be placed on the map. Newer players might be able to experience this content right away thanks to the level-scaling changes made in the recent “One Wasteland” update.
It should be noted that the Brotherhood of Steel is all about reclaiming and securing advanced technology; traditionally, the organization has some of the best power armor and energy weapons in the franchise. That means that players might see some new power armor, energy weapons, or other interesting tech make its debut in this update. Some of this tech may be restricted to quests, but it’s also possible that new items can be permanently acquired.
