Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Switch release date

Is there a Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Switch release date?

With Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War blessing both current-gen and next-gen systems, including the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC, you might think that Nintendo will be getting some love, too. A portable Black Ops game would be great for playing on-the-go, but is it a possibility? Here’s what you need to know about a potential Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Switch release date.

Is Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War coming to Nintendo Switch?

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Switch release date

No, it doesn’t look like Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be coming to Nintendo Switch.

At the time of writing, which is just after the multiplayer reveal, the current list of supported consoles is as follows:

What consoles are Black Ops Cold War releasing on?

  • PC
  • PS4
  • PS5
  • Xbox One
  • Xbox Series S
  • Xbox Series X
  • Not Nintendo Switch

Of course, things can absolutely change closer to, as well as after, a game’s launch. With the success of Warzone and also Call of Duty: Mobile, it seems unusual that neither title has been launched to Nintendo’s incredibly popular handheld.

With other huge games like Fortnite making their way to the Switch, it’s surely only a matter of time before other giants, like Call of Duty, also start to embrace the Nintendo hardware.

For now, though, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War won’t be available on Nintendo Switch, nor has publisher Activision detailed any plans to bring the CoD franchise to Switch.

We’ll reach out to Activision for comment, as Call of Duty‘s absence on Nintendo Switch is becoming extremely noticeable.
