Black Ops Cold War Nuketown Map | Is it coming back?
At the time of writing, no Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Nuketown map has been officially unveiled. Nuketown has appeared in every previous CoD: Black Ops game, however, so it seems highly likely that it will make an appearance. Additionally, leaks have indicated that the original Nuketown map could be making a return in Black Ops Cold War.
Known Call of Duty leaker Tom Henderson recently stated that the Black Ops Cold War version of Nuketown will be “almost identical to the original” due to the shared timeframe. Previous iterations of the map have become progressively more futuristic as the series’ setting moved further into the future.

Unfortunately, Henderson isn’t sure when the Black Ops Cold War Nuketown map will release. He does go on to speculate that it could be part of a “‘Black Ops Originals'” DLC set, however. If this were the case, we could see other classic Black Ops maps return in CoD: Black Ops Cold War as well.
Traditionally, Nuketown has been a pre-order bonus for the Black Ops series. Since CoD: BOCW pre-orders are already live with no mention of a Nuketown map DLC incentive, that probably isn’t the case this time around. For now, we’ll just have to wait for more details from Treyarch and Activision in order to be sure of what’s going on.
