How to get the Acrophobia Skull in Halo 3 PC

Classic Xbox 360 shooter Halo 3 is finally available on PC. This Halo Master Chief Collection version features upgraded visuals, but that isn’t all that’s new. 13 years after the game’s initial launch, a new Skull has been added. In this guide, we’ll cover how to get the Acrophobia Skull in Halo 3 PC and what exactly it does.

In order to unlock the new Acrophobia Skull in Halo 3 PC via the Halo Master Chief Collection, you’ll need to complete the in-game “Acrophobia” challenge. This requires you to kill 343 flying enemies in the Halo 3 Campaign or Mission Playlists. You must be playing at Normal difficulty or above; killing Drones, Sentinels, Banshees, and Phantoms will each add to your total.

Once you’ve slain all 343 flying foes (a nod to developer 343 Industries), you’ll be rewarded with 34,300 XP and the Acrophobia Skull. Acrophobia is the fear of heights, and if you are acrophobic, then this might not be the Skull for you.

Skulls serve as fun and challenging gameplay modifiers in the Halo series, and this all-new addition lets players fly. By holding down the jump button, Master Chief can now take to the skies and build up quite a head of steam. The Chief is still vulnerable, however, so take care not to splatter him against the environment.

It’s worth noting that the Acrophobia Skull has also been added to the Xbox One version of Halo 3 via a free Master Chief Collection update. Unlocking the Acrophobia Skull on Xbox is the same as on PC — just complete the Acrophobia challenge in the Halo Master Chief Collection.
