Another update has arrived for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. This CSGO update is available for download on PC now, and mainly serves to address two small issues with the game. The March 27, 2020 update also serves as the final patch before the end of Operation Shattered Web, which retires at the end of this month.

The March 27, 2020 CSGO update is very small, offering only two specific bug fixes. The first addresses stuttering problems on certain Nvidia hardware, particularly during rendering. The other goes after a rare situation that would result in a game crash at the end of matches.

It’s not a particularly exciting update, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. After all, Valve’s competitive FPS has had plenty of fine-tuning over the years. Here are the official CSGO patch notes for the March 27 update, straight from the team at Valve:
- Refactored low level shaders to fix stuttering on NVIDIA hardware when first rendering previously unseen content.
- Speculative fix for rare crash at the end of matches.
Since this CSGO update arrives at the end of March, it also serves to mark the end of Operation Shattered Web. After kicking off in November of 2019, this Operation offered a new set of challenges every week for a total of 16 weeks. As with others before it, Shattered Web provided various item drops — including new Agent skins — as well as the chance to upgrade the Operation Shattered Web coin.
The final week of Shattered Web landed in early March, but Valve gave players some extra time to go back and clean up missions. That time is nearly out, though: You only have until March 30 to complete any remaining challenges and redeem their Operation rewards. Following this final March 2020 update, there’s also no telling when we may see another Operation land in CSGO.
