If you’re anything like me, you’ll have wasted no time in picking clean every piece of fruit from every tree on your island. You might then (again like me) have sold those pieces of fruit to get some easy Bells. And finally, you might then have wondered, “Huh, when does fruit grow back in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?” Well, thankfully, fruit does eventually regrow on your trees. The bad news is that it can take a good bit of time. Here’s what you need to know about Animal Crossing: New Horizons fruit respawns.
When does fruit grow back in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?
Native fruit takes three days to grow back in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. However, fruit not native to your island will take between four to six days. Coconuts, for example, take four days.

If you’ve played any other Animal Crossing games, you’ll likely be familiar with the three-day fruit-growing cycle. We’d recommend keeping a close eye on the calendar, so you can tell when exactly the next fruit-picking session is.
It might be a good idea to plant fruit trees on different days, so that you can harvest different fruit on Monday, Tuesday, etc. This should help keep your island looking nice, instead of constantly barren after a mad picking spree!
It’s also worth considering when you’re going to invite friends (or strangers) over to your island. If you want fruit available for them to pick, you might want to invite them when it’s newly grown.
