Should I kill The Butcher

Modern Warfare Boss Decision | Should I kill or let live?

So you’ve been progressing through the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare campaign, and now you’ve been met with a tough decision to make. (Note: Spoilers from here on out, so if you stumbled across this guide without playing the campaign, then I’d advise that you don’t read on!) The tough choice you have to make is: Should I kill The Butcher in Modern Warfare? To help make the decision easier for you, we’ve made both decisions and detailed the outcomes below. Give this guide a quick read and then you can make an informed choice on whether or not to pull the trigger.

Modern Warfare The Butcher | Kill or let live?

Should I kill The Butcher

After capturing The Butcher and using his family as leverage to extract information from him, you’ll then be able to either kill him or let him live. Captain Price tells you to “take a minute” and then leaves the room. You can then either aim and kill The Butcher, or follow Price out of the room.

ALSO: Modern Warfare campaign will provide XP and gear for multiplayer

Modern Warfare | Kill The Butcher choice

  • You load the pistol with bullets
  • You point the gun at The Butcher
  • You pull the trigger and he is killed
  • Russian police find The Butcher dead

Modern Warfare | Let The Butcher live choice

  • You load the pistol with bullets
  • You point the gun at The Butcher
  • You don’t pull the trigger and choose to walk out
  • Russian police find The Butcher alive and secure him

Whatever decision you make, the outcome with Captain Price and other characters is the same. It really doesn’t make an impact in this game, though future titles may be affected, so do consider that.
