Talk about a loaded question. There are loads of guns to choose from in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. What’s the best gun in the game almost entirely depends on how you play the game. If you prefer to camp and sniper, for example, a sniper rifle will be a better choice for you than the M4. Given the generally large size of the multiplayer maps in the game, however, you will want something that can cover a lot of ground: a good old fashioned all-rounder. This is where the M4 comes into its own.

Is the M4 the best gun in Modern Warfare 2019? The answer could well be yes. It’s a powerful gun that can be used in almost every scenario you can think of. An assault rifle, the M4 has good power over short, medium, and long distances. It’s easy to use thanks to its automatic nature and high rate-of-fire, too. We’d suggest that if you’re unsure of what gun to choose for each map, sticking to the M4 is as good a bet as any. It might not have the long-range of a sniper rifle, nor the devastating power at close-range of a shotgun, but it should you fine over a variety of gunfire distances.
What’s good about it, too, is that you should unlock it relatively early on in your new CoD multiplayer career. The Modern Warfare M4 is so good, that people are already taking to Reddit to ask for it to be nerfed. While we can’t say for certain if it’s the best gun in the game, it is certainly up there for now, at least.
