You’ll likely want to farm Vigor early on in Lords of the Fallen. It’s a more difficult game than your typical Soulslike, and you’ll see that many of the weapons you find at the beginning of the game have stat requirements you don’t meet. Fortunately, we’ve found two great locations for grinding Souls quickly early in Lords of the Fallen.
Where to farm Souls early in Lords of the Fallen
Our two favorite locations for farming Souls early on in Lords of the Fallen are conveniently located near two Vestiges.
The first is the hill near the Vestige of Marco the Axe. You can spawn at the Redcopse Windmill, enter the Umbral to boost the amount of Souls you earn, descend the hill, and kill the group of enemies on the path leading down into the village. By the time you reach the bottom, the Umbral enemies will have started spawning, and you can slice and dice them back up to the windmill. There, you can rest to respawn your foes and repeat the process. You can quickly accrue around 500-800 Souls within a minute or two here. That’s nothing to shake a stick at at a point in the game where it only takes around 2,000 Souls to level up.
The second Soul farming spot is located further on in the game by the Vestige of Chabui in Pilgrim’s Perch. Here, you can spawn right next to an Ardent Penitent infected with a parasite and surrounded by two Umbral blisters. You can target the Penitent and raise your lamp to take care of the parasite and both blisters simultaneously. Then dance with the Penitent until it goes down, then exit onto the wood platform, popping the third Umbral blister just outside the entrance along the way. Kick the pilgrim off the platform, then climb the nearby ladder and take a second one out. Then, return to the Vestige and rest to do it all again.
The above route can be run in 1-2 minutes for a profit of 800-1,000 Vigor. At this point, it’ll only take 2,500-3,000 Souls to level up, so you can quickly raise those stats.
