Lords of the Fallen Respec: How to Use the Rebirth Chrysalis

The Lords of the Fallen respec feature is not as straightforward as it is in other soulslikes or RPGs. The option is grayed out when talking to Pieta and only says “Chrysalis Rebirth” without any indication of what that even means. Here’s how to respec in Lords of the Fallen and how to get a Rebirth Chrysalis.

How to respec in Lords of the Fallen

  • Lords of the Fallen Respec: How to Use the Rebirth Chrysalis

To respec in Lords of the Fallen, you will first need a special item called the Rebirth Chrysalis. While it has a fancy name that implies some great quest, it is not too hard to track down. It is even right by Pieta.

Go to Molhu in the Skyrest Bridge region. You can find him by going to the Vestige of Ethryg and turning around and going up the stairway to the right. Use your lamp to go into the Umbral to see him. Visit his shop and you will see the item on sale for 8,000 vigor. He only should have one for sale in his shop when you meet him.

But that’s not the only one in the game. Winterberry at Revelation Depths also has one for the same price. You can also find one at Fief of the Chill Curse and Tower of Penance. There’s also an infinite amount of them at the Shrine of the Putrid Mother, but the community has to give enough plucked eyeballs to it first.

Lords of the Fallen Respec: How to Use the Rebirth Chrysalis

After getting a Rebirth Chrysalis through whatever means, go speak to Pieta right near the Vestige of Ethryg and choose the “Chrysalis Rebirth” option. You will be able to reallocate all of your skill points from there and remake your build from scratch. Just be warned, as 8,000 vigor is quite a lot, so this is not exactly a cheap process.
