Nioh 2 The Tengu’s Disciple DLC Saigyo’s poem locations

The Nioh 2 The Tengu’s Disciple DLC Saigyo’s poem locations are all too easy to overlook. These aren’t just normal collectibles either since you’ll need them for the “An Encounter Among the Blossoms” side mission. You’ll also get the Poetry in Motion trophy as well. Here’s how to find the poetry cards in the Nioh 2 DLC and, in turn, how to unlock the An Encounter Among the Blossoms side mission.

The first poem is in the first mission in the DLC titled “A Song to Calm the Storm.” This poem is in a small camp-like area surrounded by red sheets that is just a short walk away from the Mysterious Warrior Monk boss and also right next to the first hot spring (you can find the rest of the locations here). As you can see in the above picture, the red arrow points to the camp you need to go in. Going right (where the mini-map is pointing you) will get you to the aforementioned boss.

Once inside that camp, you’ll be ambushed by some crabby enemies. Take them out and then go check out one of the corpses on the right where the arrow is pointing in the above picture.

Saigyo’s Poem I is on that corpse.

The second poem (which might be the third one you find) is in the main mission titled “Eternal Rivals,” which is where you fight Yoshitsune. Saigyo’s Poem II is actually just before that fight so you can continue on that level until you hit the boss. After sneaking through some tall grass to avoid enemies, you’ll eventually go up to a higher platform and cross the log in the above picture.

Continue on forward until you get to the above part with the big horse boss, Mezuki, from the base game (here’s how to beat him if you need help). You’re going to have to take this horse to the glue factory.

After taking care of that nuisance, go over to what he was looking at and you’ll see a body.

Saigyo’s Poem II is on that dead body that Mezuki was looking so damn carefully at.

Saigyo’s Poem III can actually be grabbed before the second poem as it is in the “Shadows Creep in Kurama” side mission. This poem is near the second half of the level after you clear the Dark Realm with the Raven Tengu (bird enemy), Tesso (rat enemy), and One-Eyed-Imp (small cyclops with the big tongue). Once you wipe those enemies out, go into the big door that the red arrow is pointing at in the picture.

Beat the Revenant in there and then the Ramahage (big nasty guy with orange horns) right outside. You’ll then come to the area in the above picture. It’s in that shack with the red arrow pointing to it but you can’t get in from that way. You need to go around through the trees to your left.

Go down this path and murder the Enki variant and go down the right path near where the actual Enki is in the picture.

This is that path. Go down it and go to the area by the vista where the red arrow is pointing. Once you get to that end of that path on the vista, look to the right in the shack.

You’ll see Saigyo’s Poem III in that shack.
