A Guide For Where To Find Crafting Meat In Horizon Zero Dawn

The enormous world of Horizon Zero Dawn is home to various beings outside of machines and bandits, all of which can be killed. During your journey, you will encounter live animals roaming about – such as Boars, Turkeys, Rabbits and more. Usually, you would ignore these creatures as they are not hostile and do not attack you back. This time around, you will find yourself chasing after these poor animals far more than your heart desires, as they drop an important resource for the player.

Meat is a requirement when crafting Potions or upgrading your carrying capacity. The game does not alert you on the importance of hunting animals during any part of the tutorial. When you hunt and kill an animal, they will drop a special type of meat. Each creature drops different kinds of meat – along with bones and skin.

Below is a list of critters and the loot they drop.
