RPG fans have to reasons to perk up their ears doggy style after Tokaigi 2015. Well, kind of. I guess.
During a special livestreamed broadcast, Kentaro Motomura, producer of some Wild ARMs games, read a note from series creator Akifumi Kaneko.
In the letter, Kaneko asked the internet to do his job for him and create a lot of buzz about a new Wild ARMs game. He and others close to the series want to make another one, but in business, they need more demand for the product. A new Wild ARMs is not currently in development, but Kaneko would like that to change.
Elsewhere, Square Enix announced an upcoming Chinese release of Dragon Quest Heroes. Square Enix’s Ryutaro Ichimura was particularly warmed by the reception and said he'd like to experience that feeling again, in (unspecified) other places.
Asked about the English language (sometimes available in Asia-region games), the panel was non-committal. Koei Tecmo producer Kenichi Ogasawara said that they would "consider it" if significant demand arose. Meaning no, probably not.
