FlexiSpot BS11 Pro Review

FlexiSpot BS11 Pro Review

Best known for its fantastic standing desks, FlexiSpot also dabbles in the world of office chairs. The latest addition to the seating lineup is the BS11 Pro which FlexiSpot is marketing as “a completely unusual seating experience.” It’s apparently aimed at longer sitting sessions when both working and relaxing. On paper, it certainly sounds curious, but how has it held up after a month of dedicated testing for both work and play? Here’s my review of the FlexiSpot BS11 Pro chair.

Set up and go

FlexiSpot BS11 Pro Review

When the hefty BS11 Pro’s box arrived, I immediately found a clear space for the build process. Chairs like this often come in many pieces and it’s easy to become overwhelmed, so clearing a space is always recommended.

Happily, the instructions are clearly laid out and it’s easy to follow along using the provided bolts and Allen wrench. For those who have built a chair like this before, assembly should only take 20 minutes or so, while newcomers may need 30 minutes to double-check instructions and make sure everything is put together correctly.

Built for sitting

FlexiSpot BS11 Pro Review

Once it’s built and ready for use, the BS11 Pro looks sleek and modern. It has a timeless design that will still look clean and professional in years to come. The back of the chair has a bit of an aesthetic flourish with contrasting materials and textures, but it isn’t to the point of being distracting. Aside from that, the chair has a minimalist design with no logo that should look great in a dedicated office space or work-from-home setup.

When it comes to actually sitting in the BS11 Pro, there is a fair bit of work to do. You see, this chair has adjustable height, recline, and armrests, which can take some fine-tuning to get fully correct. My experience had me sitting for 30 minutes, readjusting, sitting for 30 more minutes, readjusting again, and then finally finding my final working position. Though, this is the case with most ergonomic chairs that don’t instantly mold to your particular height, weight, and shape.

Easy to adjust

FlexiSpot BS11 Pro Review

Making adjustments is easy enough using the various levers and there is a good level of customizability that should suit most users. My only gripe is with the lumbar support, as I’m used to a more aggressive angle that supports my back over marathon working and gaming days, but it’s not a deal-breaker.

During a normal workday where I’d sit for longer stretches of time, I became especially appreciative of the BS11 Pro’s armrests, as their adjustability really helped to find a position where they support my arms. The headrest is also handy for moments when I take breaks to check social media, reclining a little.

Warranty considerations

FlexiSpot BS11 Pro Review

The BS11 Pro comes with a 5-year warranty, which should offer some peace of mind for those thinking about investing the $520 (£429.99) that FlexiSpot is asking for. At that price, it does seem like a lot of money for what’s on offer here. However, as is common for FlexiSpot, the company is currently hosting a sale offering a significant discount.

Final Verdict

The BS11 Pro is a safe evolution of FlexiSpot’s chair lineup. It complements the company’s standing desks nicely with its minimalist and professional aesthetic and color options. It’s also very comfortable to sit on for long hours at a time, though the lumbar support leaves a little to be desired.

When paying the RRP, you really need to love the aesthetic and FlexiSpot brand. However, with discounts applied, the BS11 Pro will be a compelling option when the price is right.
