Glorious Model O- Wireless and D- Wireless Review: ‘Killer value for small-mouse users’

GLORIOUS MODEL O- WIRELESS AND D- WIRELESS REVIEW.

With the simultaneous (hurray!) release of the Model O- Wireless and D- Wireless mice, Glorious has put the final piece into its peripheral puzzle. Gamers can now grab the wired or wireless O, D, O-, or D- mice, all for a super-competitive price. Assuming the O- Wireless and D- Wireless are just shrunken down versions of the O Wireless and D Wireless, these should be an easy recommendation. However, we’re not here to assume! This is my Glorious Model O- Wireless and D- Wireless review.

Small goes wireless

Model O- Wireless Review

While my hands and grip style are a little too large for smaller-sized mice, my partner is a massive fan of the downsized peripherals. The wired version of the O- has lived on my partner’s desk since its release and now the O- Wireless is here to make her mouse setup cable-free.

Model O- Wireless Review

For those who prefer a more ergonomic shape, like me, this is where the D- Wireless comes in. I find the shape more comfortable to use and it’s the best bet for newcomers. However, if you’ve already a seasoned PC gamer, you likely have your own shape preference and know which of the two to choose.

Minor, yet welcome, improvements

Model O- Wireless Review

Both the O- Wireless and D- Wireless enjoy the same improvements as the recent D Wireless release, with the main highlight being the new “extra crisp” switches that are rated to 80 million clicks.

Both mice also feel more solid in the hand, with Glorious perhaps having made some structural improvements on the inside of the plastic housing.

The price is right

Model O- Wireless Review

Despite being wireless, both mice are ridiculously light at 65/67 grams. Moving them around on the mousepad is effortless and I appreciate Glorious mastering this trend without hiking up the price.

Both mice sit at $79.99 which is a great deal considering how this is a top-tier wireless and small form-factor peripheral.

Go on, go wireless!

Model O- Wireless Review

“Wireless mouse” used to be a scary term for many reasons, with either battery life or laggy sensors (or a combination of both) putting off potential buyers; especially gamers. With up to 71 hours of battery life — achieved by disabling the splendid RGB — Glorious has put those worries to rest.

When they do need topping up, both the O- Wireless and D- Wireless charge via a USB-C cable. And yes, both mice can be used while plugged in and charging. The provided cable is of the “Ascended” variety, which is Glorious’ own improved tight braid. I’ve been using one for over a year now and it remains flawless.

BAMF is right

Model O- Wireless Review

The BAMF sensor powering each mouse worked flawlessly in my use, with zero hiccups and no perceivable latency. Wireless mouse sensors have gotten so good and Glorious’ BAMF tech is amongst the best out there. I really feel like there’s no longer any reason to go wired, unless you swear by the ridiculously high polling rates seen on some competitors’ mice or your budget won’t allow it.

Model O- Wireless Review

Glorious’ wireless mice connect via a USB dongle. The dongle can be moved closer to the mouse using the provided cable for optimum connection quality. There is no Bluetooth connection for those hoping to switch to a low-powered mode for non-gaming use.

Glorious Model O- Wireless and D- Wireless Review: The final verdict

Model O- Wireless Review

At $79.99, the Glorious Model O- Wireless and D- Wireless offer killer value for small-mouse users. It can be tricky to find smaller wireless mice, especially at a great price, so Glorious has really delivered the goods here.

With these final mice, Glorious’ lineup is now complete (aside from glossy options!) and I’m excited to see what happens next. With the O- Wireless and D- Wireless, we can see the final evolution of Glorious’ perfect combination of performance for the price and improved build quality. The Model series remains my number one go-to recommendation for those hunting for a new mouse at great bang-for-your-buck pricing.
