Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart has a vast arsenal of weapons that can dish out massive damage, especially when they’re upgraded to their Omega variants. However, there’s one weapon that towers above the rest, which is unlocked by collecting all of the Spy Bots. It’s a weapon that has appeared in most of the other Ratchet and Clank games and one that big R&C fans will love to use. There are spoilers from here on out!
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart Best Weapon: RYNO 8
The best weapon in Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is the RYNO 8.
When fired, the RYNO 8 spawns a rift which brings through items that devastate the battlefield. As players level the weapon up, it becomes even more powerful.
Not only is the RYNO 8 the game’s most powerful weapon, but it is also one of Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart’s best Easter eggs. You see, when fired, the RYNO 8 is able to spawn items from different PlayStation games.
It’s possible to see Sly Cooper, robots from Horizon Zero Dawn, Nathan’s jeep from Uncharted, and other nods to PlayStation games spawned by the RYNO 8 weapon.
The official Insomniac Games Twitter account actually tweeted hints at this weapon’s abilities. The crossover tweets’ meanings become clear once the RYNO 8 has been unlocked.

It’s a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment, but the item spawning in from the rift can be more easily captured by using the game’s Photo Mode or by slowing down the game speed in the Accessibility menu.
The RYNO 8 has evolved to become both an incredible weapon and also a huge PlayStation Easter egg. Not bad for the final weapon unlock that closes out the game.
