The GR Show | Is Resident Evil 3 better or worse than RE2 Remake?

The GR Show is a weekly Twitch talk show where the Game Revolution team reviews the latest upcoming releases, discusses the biggest news stories, and shares exclusive footage of the most talked-about games.

Resident Evil 2 Remake was our Game of the Year for 2019, so expectations were incredibly high for Resident Evil 3. Game Revolution’s Resident Evil aficionado Jason was once again placed on the task of judging Capcom’s latest remake, and the results were… disappointing. After completing the game multiple times, we dragged Jason into The GR Show booth to talk us through why RE3 didn’t match the lofty heights set by its predecessor, and why it’s actually missing some of the best things that featured in the original game.

We also discuss Predator: Hunting Grounds, the asymmetric multiplayer horror game developed by Friday the 13th creator IllFonic, starring the world’s noisiest Yautja and dumbest AI soldiers. With its free trial weekend having just concluded, is there enough here to suggest this will be a hit on its release?

Michael also breaks down his Ori and the Will of the Wisps review, we discuss Animal Crossing: New Horizons‘ oddly creepy Bunny Day event, and the reported Super Mario All-Stars 2 collection.
