It’s difficult to look past the furore surrounding Star Wars Battlefront 2 in order to appreciate the work that’s been put in beneath the loot boxes. So pernicious are the game’s microtransactions that they seep into almost every facet of the game, and while EA has now removed them altogether while they “fix” the mess they’ve created, the black hole of enjoyment its loot boxes…
