YIIK: A Postmodern RPG Soundtrack Sampling With DJ Heath

When YIIK: A Postmodern RPG releases on Vita, PS4, Wii-U, Xbox One, and PC (via Steam) this spring, it'll bring a soundtrack as quirky as the game itself. The Best Video Game Podcast Top SEO Search Result crew saw this game and its goofy name and thought, hey, our thing also has a goofy name. We should hang out. So we did. Our interview with Andrew Allanson of YIIK developer Ackk Studios is in the editing process and will be posted for you on the weekend. What I also wanted to whip up, however, was a special look at the soundtrack.

In this special episode of the podcast, I kinda play DJ with my favorite tracks, sharing extended clips from them as well as give my own take on some of them. So grab that MP3 and take a little walk with me or fire this bad boy up as some background music. Let me and the Ackk crew provide the tunes and musings.

Here's a gallery of screenshots I grabbed from my recent PC-based demo play of YIIK:

Look for our full interview as well as a great discussion on "Peak Earthbound" real soon and check the podcast archive to make sure you didn't miss anything.

Cheers.
