Top 10 Gaming Panels at Comic-Con 2015

It feels like E3 2015 just ended yesterday, and Comic-Con 2015 is already around the corner. The focus of the convention may not be specifically on games, but between all of the star-studded panels at the expo, there are still a smattering of panels featuring video game developers who are finally allowed to share and pontificate about their latest wares.

Here are GameRevolution's picks for the Top 10 gaming panels at Comic-Con 2015, featuring everything from Street Fighter V and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, to Tekken 7 and Rise of the Tomb Raider:

Street Fighter V – Thursday, July 9 • 11:45am – 12:45pm, Room 6BCF

Capcom experts, including the veritable Blanka-fan Yoshinori Ono, will delve deeper into Street Fighter V. And given the history of reveals that Capcom has had with Street Fighter in the past at Comic-Con, they may unveil new characters and secrets about Street Fighter V, beyond details about the Capcom Pro Tour and SFV-licensed products which they're planning to reveal.

Call of Duty Black Ops III: Zombie World Reveal – Thursday, July 9 • 1:00pm – 2:00pm, Room 6BCF

Treyarch developer Jason Blundell will reveal not only the Zombies mode for the next Call of Duty, but also the Collector's Editions of the game and the star-studded cast live onstage. An exclusive Zombies trailer comes with limited edition Zombies memorabilia for all attendees too.

Blizzard Entertainment Showcase – Thursday, July 9 • 2:15pm – 3:15pm, Room 6BCF

Chris Metzen from Blizzard Entertainment will reveal "never-before-seen products and plans for 2015 and 2016." This could mean sneak peeks for OverwatchStarcraft, or even a brand-new IP.

Hunt for the Truth: Following the Trail of the Halo 5: Guardians Story – Friday, July 10 • 10:15am – 11:15am, Room 6BCF

As Alex Osborn reported, this panel will "bring new insight into mysteries surrounding the Master Chief and build connections between the stories that have been told so far."

BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Fighting Games 2015 – Friday, July 10 • 1:00pm – 2:00pm, Room 25ABC

Though already in Japanese arcades, Tekken 7 will be the highlight of this panel with Tekken series director Katasuhiro Harada. Rise of Incarnates will also be featured, but Bandai Namco probably has something special lined up to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Tekken.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate: It's Time for a Bloody Ruckus – Friday, July 10 • 2:00pm – 3:00pm, Room 6BCF

Creative director Marc-Alexis Cote will show off the Victorian-era London of Assassin's Creed Syndicate, while director F. Gary Gray will reveal an animated short based on the franchise. Also don't forget about the obstacle course at Comic-Con 2015 too.

The Art and Story of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – Saturday, July 11 • 3:30pm – 4:30pm, Room 24ABC

If I could have given one of E3 awards to Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, I would have. Luckily, this panel consisting of the Eidos-Montréal %u200Bdev team and Adam Jensen's voice actor Elias Toufexis will give all attendees a further look into the story of the game, to be spread across multiple forms of media through Titan Books.

The Evolution of an Icon in Rise of the Tomb Raider – Saturday, July 11 • 5:00pm – 6:00pm, 25ABC

Crystal Dynamics is providing a deeper look into Rise of the Tomb Raider, with a panel that includes Lara Croft's actress and voice actor Camilla Luddington and lead script writer Rhianna Pratchett.

Obsidian Entertainment – Saturday, July 11 • 7:30pm – 8:30pm, Room 7AB

The breakout cRPG Pillars of Eternity will be getting an expansion called The White March and Obsidian Entertainment will be allowing the audience to be a part of the design process. What this means is unclear, but I suppose the devs can just edit out what us silly civilians come up with.

The Art of Japanese Video Game Design – Sunday, July 12 • 1:30pm – 2:30pm, Room 8

Goichi Suda, aka Suda51, will be there. Just go!
