Sony: European PlayStation 4 Supplies May Run Short This Holiday Season

Sony has taken the gaming world by storm with its PlayStation 4 console, selling more than Xbox One and Wii U over the past year of retail sales alone, but the company is now saying that supplies may dwindle as we draw closer to the holiday in Europe.

Andrew House told Reuters that inventory will prove a challenge for the company:

If I look at Europe I think it is potentially, for the second year running, going to be quite inventory challenged. I'm not going to say you won't be able to find a PlayStation 4. I think it's going to be kind to mouth in terms of that market.

You know, if Sony was so worried about production or having enough PlayStation 4 units to sell, they could have spent more on manufacturing. Regardless, it seems like maintaining the console's momentum will prove more important in the long run. If you can't find a PlayStation 4 and you're reading GameRevolution from Europe, let us know in the comments.
