The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D Will Take Advantage of New 3DS

Eiji Aonuma, the producer of The Legend of Zelda franchise, has confirmed that the upcoming Majora's Mask remake for 3DS will take advantage of the new version of Nintendo's portable hardware, which still has yet to be announced for North America.

While playing the game on New 3DS instead of one of the older models won't provide any visual upgrade, Aonuma did note that there will be some benefits to those who have the latest and greatest form of 3DS.

Sadly, however, he didn't detail specifically what benefits New 3DS owners can look forward to. "Please wait for the opportunity to discuss how playing on the New 3DS differs at a later date," he teased in an interview with Famitsu (via Nintendo Everything).

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D was announced earlier this month during Nintendo's latest Direct broadcast. It will launch sometime in the spring of next year.
