PowerWash Simulator has kept itself in the gaming limelight with a series of pleasing content from beloved franchises, such as SpongeBob SquarePants. Now, FutureLab‘s cleaning simulation title is embracing the world of Warhammer 40K, which is in dire need of a good scrubbing.
A relaxing time cleaning all those Imperial machines
In a recent trailer, we get to see exactly what’s on offer in the upcoming PowerWash Simulator DLC. The content will be launched on February 27 for all platforms, bringing Warhammer’s “grim dark universe” to the game.
A press release gives some insight into what you can expect:
The themed DLC will allow players to wash away dirt and grime from Imperial vehicles and machines in the dark and expansive world of Warhammer 40,000
It’ll also feature the following machines/vehicles:
- The Ultramarines Land Raider
- The Dark Angels Deathwing Redemptor Dreadnought
- The Astra Militarum Rogal Dorn Tank
- The House Hawkshroud Imperial Knight
- The Blood Angels Thunderhawk
PowerWash Simulator is part of the continued popularity of the simulation genre. Games of this nature typically capture the mundane – in this case, cleaning – and turn it into a fun, virtual experience.
Other well-received releases in this genre include Farming Simulator, Euro Truck Simulator, and the old Rollercoaster Tycoon games. Even the likes of Stardew Valley fall into this category, offering a more relaxed affair that leans towards work and chores.
PowerWash Simulator also released a VR version of the game towards the end of 2023. By adding new content from popular franchises, FuturLab continues to offer a meditative experience that combines first-person gaming with the thrill of washing dirty walls and vehicles.
