GTA 6 Trailer Has Already Been Watched More Times Than GTA 5’s Reveal

By now, many of you reading this will have watched the first official trailer for GTA 6. Some of you will have seen it several times. In fact, the amount of views the teaser already has is quite staggering.

One of the most-watched trailers in history

At the time of writing, the GTA 6 trailer on YouTube has more than 103 million views. Even for Rockstar Games, that’s an astonishing number, and the video has only been up for a couple of days.

By comparison, the announcement trailer for Grand Theft Auto 5 has just over 100 million views, which means GTA 6 has already surpassed its predecessor. Keep in mind that the former is 12 years old, so who knows how far the latter will go as the weeks and months progress.

While it’s still got some way until it bests the official Minecraft trailer – which sits at 167 million views – there’s every possibility that Rockstar’s latest will shoot past it with the greatest of ease.

It goes some way to show just how hyped up people are for the next installment in the Grand Theft Auto series. The fifth entry has been out for more than ten years – becoming one of the best-selling games in recent memory – and hints of a follow-up have been circulating for almost as long.

Currently, we don’t know when GTA 6 will be coming out, other than it has a proposed launch window of 2025. It was also announced that the game will be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. No mention of a PC version yet, which will be disappointing to a lot of fans.
