Horizon Forbidden West DLC Leak Teases Map That Includes LA, Las Vegas, San Francisco

Horizon Forbidden West‘s next DLC ‘Burning Shores’ has seemingly been leaked, with popular leaker The Snitch posting an image teasing the inclusion of Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and San Francisco as possible in-game locations.

Known for providing cryptic but reliable leaks on Twitter, The Snitch has fanned the flames of a DLC announcement coming very soon, likely at The Game Awards this coming December 8. So far, developer Guerilla Games have yet to reveal a release date for the new content, but rumors are circulating, pointing toward April 2023.

Based on the image posted, and some in-game lore via Gildun’s diary, the Burning Shores are seemingly located to the south of the currently available map, past the Spinebreak. Attempting to explore past the Southern limit will simply push players back in the current version of the game.

While some players have tried to use their Sunwing to get a better look, there are only speculations to be made about what’s to be seen; some are guessing the Memorial Bridge near Las Vegas is visible, along with Hoover Dam. The character Brin also refers to the Burning Shores as a place of “flames and brine,” which could indicate a mixture of new locales possibly being included.

If true, this leak would make the upcoming Game Awards quite the stacked event, with Hideo Kojima already teasing a new game reveal and games like Elden Ring being up for serious debate in certain categories.
