Fifteen GameStop stores throughout the United States and Nintendo's own Nintendo World Store in New York City will open 64-player tournaments for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS on October 4th.
Participation is first-come, first-served basis though fans may want to bring their own Nintendo 3DS and 2DS hardware in order to get streetpass Mii characters from their fellow gamers.
More importantly, winners of each local tournament will get to fly to New York where they'll participate in the National Open Tournament on October 11th, broadcast live on Twitch and Youtube. The winner of this final tournament will also win a trophy and champion's robe, though they'll need to have competed at a local tournament at one of the following locations:
