Xenoblade Chronicles Coming to “New” 3DS

Xenoblade Chronicles, Monolith Soft's beloved Japanese role-playing game for Wii, will be making its way to 3DS, Nintendo announced during this morning's Direct presentation.

The game will be coming exclusively to the "new" 3DS, which was also announced this morning. According to Gematsu, the device's enhanced CPU is required to run the game, so Xenoblade Chronicles won't be playable on older 3DS models.

The game is set to arrive next year in Japan. There's no word on a release out west, but I'm sure we'll hear something from Nintendo of America in the near future. After all, the Wii U sequel Xenoblade Chronicles X is coming western territories in 2015, so I'd imagine Nintendo would want fans to have the first installment available on the go sooner rather than later.
