Pac-Man & Galaga Dimensions Save Files Also Permanent

Although save-file permanence with Resident Evil 5 didn't bother people who are more interested in playing games than they are complaining about them, I think you could maintain that it wasn't a feature anyone was in love with. Apparently I'm wrong. Publishers find the feature essential. I've never seen another publisher mirror anti-used-sales tactics as quickly as Namco is following Capcom's lead on the Nintendo 3DS.

Take Pac-Man & Galaga Dimensions. Wired's Game|Life blog has discovered that there's no way to easily erase a saved game once it's been written to the 3DS cartridge:

I've looked all over, even going so far as to ask a Namco Bandai representative, and it doesn't seem like there's a way to erase the game data.

Note that the game also seems to hide your high scores regardless of whether or not you want to erase them. Ummm, aren't these arcade games… or at least, remakes of arcade games? Aren't high scores the only real system of progression in Pac-Man and Galaga?

If you're wondering, yes, internet-comments were INVENTED for b****ing. Go for it!
