World of Warcraft Subscription Numbers See Major Dip

During the quarter ending in June, World of Warcraft's subscription numbers fell by 800,000, Activision Blizzard announced during its latest financial report. This brings the current the subscriber base (or at least as of June 30th) to around 6.8 million.

As interest in the latest expansion, Mists of Pandaria, has begun to die out, gamers are moving on to other titles. However, Blizzard expects things will turn around once the next expansion, Warlords of Draenor, launches later this year.

In fact, Blizzard will be holding a special release date reveal event for the new expansion in Los Angeles next week, where gamers will also get a first-look at a new cinematic.

How many years do you think World of Warcraft has left? Can you see this game living on for another ten years?
