While the competition at EVO 2014 has finally settled down, Reggie Fils-Aimé had a few words for the fans before they took their favorite characters into battle.
Nintendo and the team behind Super Smash Bros. did not originally support the title's inclusion at EVO, though overwhelming outcry from fans last year allowed players and the community at home to give the game greater visibility among competitive fighters.
At this year's E3 2014 conference, an invite-only Super Smash Bros. tournament gave Nintendo some direct access to the more diehard competitors which likely helped to continue development on the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. for 3DS.
