Bandai Namco Releases Card-Battling Soul Calibur for iPhone

Soul Calibur has gone to great lengths to maintain a sense for hardcore fighting mechanics based on mythical weaponry like the Soul Edge, but who would have though that Nightmare would be throwing down a card for his next vicious attack.

Soul Calibur: Unbreakable Soul takes the fighting franchise to iOS via the Apple App Store, but in a new card-battling form. The game is free-to-play and features all of the characters you've come to know and love from the tale of souls and swords eternally retold.

The action plays out in 3D with damage and power meters, but playing moves correctly will enable you to charge up for a vicious attack. The game features an entirely new story, over 160 avatars, and five different weapon elements.

You can download the game on your Apple device here.
