Resistance Trilogy Losing Online Support Tomorrow

Insomniac Games has confirmed that online support for Resistance: Fall of ManResistance 2, and Resistance 3 will be pulled tomorrow, April 8th.

The developer made the announcement on its official Twitter account, also taking the time to respond to a fan to explain why the online servers are being shut down.

I hate to say it, but this basically marks the end of the Resistance series as we know it. With Insomniac off doing other things now, and Sony's lack of interest in the franchise thanks to underwhelming sales, there's but a sliver of a chance we'll ever see a new entry in the series. As a huge fan of Resistance 3, that makes me really, really sad.
