Hangout With Nintendo on Google Plus for Live Bravely Default

Nintendo is holding a special Google+ Hangout for Bravely Default in a joint effort with Best Buy and while this normally might not be news, you might want to keep the 3DS love-in going from 2013 into 2014.

After 2013, it'll be hard for Nintendo 3DS to top itself. All the amazing software combined with several different hardware options made last year more the Year of 3DS than the Year of Luigi. Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Shin Megami Tensei IV, Pokemon X & Y, and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. These games helped define one of the best years in portable gaming, possibly ever.

Nintendo hopes that Bravely Default will be a big deal for the 3DS early this year like Fire Emblem: Awakening was in the Americas last year. Can the publisher rely on third-party partners to keep 3DS sales high? I certainly hope so. 3DS is a fantastic platform with tons of great experiences, and Bravely Default is just the latest entry in that library.

Read Heath's review and then check out our tips guide to make sure your launch day goes off right. You wouldn't want to get amnesia just before your eShop download of Bravely Default finishes, right?

Head to Nintendo's Bravely Default Google+ page to RSVP to the hangout and get more details. The Hangout runs next Tuesday at 8PM ET.
