Assassin’s Creed Mirage DLC has reportedly leaked before Ubisoft has even officially confirmed the game exists, with ‘The Forty Thieves Quest’ appearing on the Ubisoft Store. The leaked images show the assassin facing an open doorway and the shadow of a sword-wielding figure, with one featuring the ‘Assassin’s Creed Mirage’ logo.
How the Assassin’s Creed Mirage DLC was leaked
Key art for the Forty Thieves Quest was posted to Twitter and was allegedly obtained via the Ubisoft Store. We’ve carried out our own searches and couldn’t find the direct source, though the images at least appear credible, with them not being lifted from a previous Assassin’s Creed game.
The images were posted by @SynthPotato on Twitter:
Here’s the first look at #ACMirage everyone, I believe this isn’t out in the public yet, I can’t verify whether it’s 100% legit or not but it definitely seems credible, Curious what ppl think, We have a hooded assassin in the forefront of the series again🤔 @_Tom_Henderson_ pic.twitter.com/HOdJN63ayC

Assassin’s Creed Mirage was the subject of a recent leak (via PlayStation LifeStyle) which reportedly revealed various elements of the game. This included its setting, with it allegedly taking place in Baghdad between the years 860 and 870, and that it would star Valhalla’s Basim in his earlier years as a thief. The game will also reportedly be a return to basics and will be strongly inspired by the first AC game.
The leaked images don’t reveal much, though the Forty Thieves name is presumably a reference to the folk tale ‘Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves.’ The doorway is perhaps the passage to the thieves’ den featured in the story, which famously opens after using the magic phrase: “open sesame.”
In other news, a new Nintendo Direct leak teased multiple The Legend of Zelda Switch ports. Unfortunate details also surfaced about the upcoming James Bond game.
