Dataminers have combed their way through the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 2 files and the courses expected to appear in the Wave 3 DLC, including another version of Rainbow Road, are part of the latest leak. The uncovered music files also reveal some of the courses expected to appear in future DLC waves.
What courses are included in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Wave 3 DLC?
The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 3 DLC will include another eight tracks split into two different cups, and while the leak didn’t uncover the names of the two cups, it did mention the names of the tracks. The first cup will apparently include the following four tracks:
- London Loop (from Mario Kart Tour)
- Peach Gardens (from Mario Kart DS)
- Boo Lake or Broken Pier (from Mario Kart Super Circuit)
- Rock Rock Mountain (from Mario Kart 7)
The second tournament will include the following four tracks:
- Berlin Byways (from Mario Kart Tour)
- Waluigi Stadium (from Mario Kart Double Dash)
- Merry Mountain (from Mario Kart Tour)
- Rainbow Road (from Mario Kart 7)
The track details were uncovered in song prefetches left in the BGM bars of the Wave 2 DLC and were found by recordreader on Youtube (thanks Reddit). This datamine may even have uncovered tracks for the remaining three DLC waves stretching into 2023. Wave 4 is expected to include three tracks from Mario Kart Tour: Amsterdam Drift, Singapore Speedway, and Los Angeles Laps. Wave 5 will have Bangkok Rush from Mario Kart Tour and Sunset Wilds from Mario Kart Super Circuit. Finally, Wave 6 will have Vancouver Velocity from Mario Kart Tour and Maple Treeway from Mario Kart Wii. As usual, though, take all of this with a pinch of salt until Nintendo confirms the DLC details later.
In other news, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla may be getting Iron Man and Thanos armor in the future. Elsewhere, a release date has been announced for the Guilty Gear Strive crossplay beta test.
