The July 2022 Pokemon Go Community Day takes place this weekend and it focuses on Starlyactivities and rewards. While called a Community “Day”, the event will run for just three hours on Sunday, July 17, and the majority of the activities feature Starly, Staravia, and Staraptor, such as a special research story.

The only featured Pokemon in the July 2022 Pokemon Go Community Day is Starly, who will appear more frequently and even in his/her shiny form. Those who already own Staravia, Starly’s evolution, can evolve that Pokemon during the Community Day for a special Staraptor that knows the Fast Attack Gust, one of the best flying-type Fast Attacks in the game.
For a fee of $1, players can access the exclusive Special Research story called Field Notes: Starly. There are no more details on the Special Research, but we do know some of the other event bonuses and rewards that will be available:
- 3× Catch XP.
- 2× chance to receive Starly Candy XL from catching Starly
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Incense activated during the event will last for three hours.

One additional special trade can be made during the event and up to five hours afterward for a maximum of three for the day

Trades made during the event and up to five hours afterward will require 50% less Stardust.
The Community Day event will run from 11am to 2pm local time. Between 2pm and 7pm, Trainers can challenge unique four-star Raid Battles where Staravia will appear. Claiming victory will cause more Starly to appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes after the raid’s end. The bad news is that Remote Raid Passes won’t work with these Raid Battles.
In other news, those who fell victim to accidental purchases from the Fall Guys Item shop will get refunds. Elsewhere, Elden Ring is now one of the top ten best-selling games of all time in the US.
