HexGaming has announced its new Hex Rival Pro PS5 controller, which is aimed at competitive players as the most “comfortable Esports controller available.” What’s more, it has interchangeable thumbsticks and on-the-fly remappable buttons for advanced personalization. After rumors of Sony making its own “Pro” controller fell flat, third parties like HexGaming have seen fit to fill the gap.
New HexGaming PS5 controller for 2022
Hex Rival Pro Key Features
- Interchangeable thumbsticks, play wired or wireless, switch thumbsticks in seconds, and remappable rear button configurations on the fly.
- Players can activate the remap program during the game and assign a maximum 15 buttons (X, O, Triangle, Square, Up, Down, Left, Right, L1, L2, R1, R2, L3, R3, Touchpad ) to the rear buttons.
- 6-in-1 interchangeable thumbsticks, 3 different heights, 2 different ergonomic thumb grip design, domed or concave. Gamers can operate the controller flexibly, capture targets faster and improve accuracy.
Back-button controls have long been seen as a must-have feature on pro controllers. After the PS4 controller received an official back-button attachment, many thought that Sony was finally going to release its own Pro PS5 controller to compete with the Xbox Elite pad. Unfortunately, that never happened.
Since the release of the PS5, third parties have taken it upon themselves to deploy custom pads amongst players who demand that competitive edge. HexGaming and its Hex Rival Pro is the latest release in the market.
Those that buy the Hex Rival Pro (starting at $199.99) will receive the controller itself, six interchangeable thumbsticks, and instructions on how to use the remapping function and other features.
