Homeworld 3 was originally due to be released between October and December 2022, but the delay now means it will be released at some point during the first half of 2023. The delay is so the developers can complete the game without having to compromise with crunch. The good news is that it shouldn’t be much longer until there’s more information on the game. Homeworld 3 will be getting its “deepest look yet” at Gamescom in August, and Blackbird Interactive promises we’ll hear from them more often as the game approaches its new release date. You can read their full statement below:
“We are moving the launch of Homeworld 3 into the first half of 2023.
Delivering Homeworld 3 at the highest quality is the top priority for Gearbox Publishing and Blackbird Interactive because we recognize the special place this series holds in the hearts of players. This passion from players fuels the work and the additional time will allow us to make good on our commitment to quality in a healthy and sustainable way for all those involved.
Blackbird Interactive is building the Homeworld game that players have always dreamed of and we are excited to share the deepest look yet at Homeworld 3 during Gamescom later this summer.
We thank you all for your continued support.”
In other news, the Among Us x Fortnite crossover has launched and players can now get their hands on a Crewmate Back Bling and Distraction Dance Emote. Elsewhere, Layers of Fears was properly unveiled at Summer Game Fest.
