The new Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet trailer has been released, and what do you think it was that has fans most excited for the upcoming game? The release date? The new Legendaries Koraidon and Miraidon, or perhaps a Hog Pokémon called Lechonk? No, it’s the two Pokemon scarlet and Violet professors that seem to have left fans feeling a little thirsty this morning.
Who are Professor Turo and Professor Sada?
Not only do players have to take the different Legendary Pokémons into account when deciding whether to buy Pokemon Scarlet or Violet, they’ll also need to decide on their favorite professors. Professor Sada will be your expert and guide in Pokemon Scarlet, while Professor Turo is taking that role in Pokemon Violet. Both will be “carrying out research into certain lore passed down in the region”. For many, this will be a difficult decision, especially if the trailer’s Reddit thread is anything to go by; the general consensus is that Pokémon professors are becoming hotter with each generation.
The trailer also revealed players’ rival in the two games. Nemona will be your friend and reliable guide as players explore each of the game’s areas in any order they please. However, she also loves Pokémon battles and has “undisputed skill” in battle. Despite being described as “an experienced Pokémon Trainer”, she doesn’t seem too adept at throwing Poké Balls.
The new Professors and rival will not be the only new faces in the game. Five new Pokémon were also revealed in the trailer, including the new Legendary Pokémon Koraidon and Miraidon. There’s also a new Hog Pokémon called Lechonk who is likely to be making an appearance in many players’ teams when the game is released on November 18, 2022.
In other news, six new games are joining Xbox Game Pass this month, including the first two Ubisoft titles set to arrive over the coming months. Elsewhere, the new Hidden Dreams in the Depths update has added two new playable characters to Genshin Impact.
