The success of Doctor Strange 2
The second Doctor Strange movie has managed to gross a total of $551.6 million across the world, according to BoxOfficeGuru founder Gitesh Pandya. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has taken $230.4 million at the US box office alone, making it the third highest-grossing movie in the US since 2019. The top couple of spots are still taken by Spider-Man: No Way Home and The Batman, but there’s still plenty of time for this to change seeing as the movie only enters its second week in theaters today.

Sam Raimi’s movie features Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Stephen Strange, who casts a forbidden spell to open a portal to the Multiverse. He soon finds out why it was a forbidden spell after the world is endangered by the threat that emerges and he is arrested for desecrating the Multiverse. The movie also features Elizabeth Olsen as The Scarlet Witch, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Karl Mordo, Benedict Wong as Sorcerer Supreme, and Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez. However, the movie does not include Zara Phythian, the actress recently convicted on multiple counts of sexual activity with a child.
