The four games that are coming to Xbox Gold members in May 2022 have been announced. The games included with Xbox Games with Gold for next month are Yoku’s Island Express, The Inner World – The Last Wind Monk, Hydro Thunder Hurricane, and Viva Piñata: Party Animals.
The four upcoming Xbox Games with Gold titles
As is usual for the Xbox Games with Gold program, two games will become available on May 1. The first of these will be Yoku’s Island Express, a game that combines 2D platforming with a pinball game to create a fast-paced and challenging game that sees players take control of a bug-like postman who is charged with opening up the post office and awakening the island deity that has been trapped in an endless sleep. The game will be available until the end of May.
The second game is The Inner World – The Last Wind Monk, which will be available from May 1 until May 15. The Xbox One game is an indie release that combines elements of adventure games with lots of mind-bending puzzles. Robert, along with his allies Peck and Laura, must go on an adventure to find the final Wind Monk in this emotional sequel.
The third game coming to Xbox Games with Gold is the Xbox 360 title Hydro Thunder Hurricane. This arcade boat racing game was originally released back in 2010 and received mostly positive reviews when it launched on the Xbox Live Arcade. With nine boats to choose from across eight courses, players have to battle it out against other races using boosts and fast reflexes to stay on top.
Finally, the last game that will be free to Xbox Live Gold members in May 2022 is Viva Piñata: Party Animals. Developed by Krome Studios, the game is a spin-off of the main Viva Piñata series and contains a series of mini-games in the same vein as the Mario Party franchise. In total, there are 40 minigames to choose from and a selection of race events.
In other news, a new leaked video for Skull and Bones has shown new footage of multiplayer and gameplay, while Irregular Choice has collaborated with Nintendo on a series of Pokémon-themed clothing items and accessories.
