September 2022 was the final month Microsoft included Xbox 360 games in the list of Xbox Games with Gold. Now the Games With Gold titles have been announced for October 2022 and it is now perfectly clear the Xbox 360 games will not be replaced with more Xbox One games or even Xbox Series X|S games.
Two Upcoming Xbox Games With Gold Titles
The Xbox Games With Gold games for October 2022 are Windbound and Bomber Crew: Deluxe Edition for Xbox One. Windbound will be the first Xbox One title to become available on October 1. The survival game shipwrecks players on The Forbidden Islands where they must work out the islands’ mysterious secrets, gather resources to survive, and craft a ship durable enough to weather the journey home. The game will be available in Games with Gold until October 31.
The second Xbox One title, Bomber Crew: Deluxe Edition, will join Games with Gold on October 16. Players must put together a crew to fly a WWII bomber and complete a variety of missions while avoiding the dangers of enemies and inclement weather. The Deluxe Edition includes the Secret Weapons and USAAF DLC as well as the full game itself. Bomber Crew will be available until November 15.
When Microsoft revealed earlier this year that they were ending the free Xbox 360 games, players wondered if they were being replaced. After all, Sony offers three PS Plus games per month, including at least two for PS4 and at least one for PS5. It seems like Microsoft is not going to follow suit, though, and the company has once again not mentioned plans to add any more games to the monthly Games With Gold offerings. For now, players will only be getting two Games With Gold per month.
In other news, a massive decline in the MultiVersus player count has players thinking the game might be dying already. Elsewhere, the GTA 6 leaker apparently sold the source code for GTA V before he was arrested.
