Halo Infinite Battle Pass Season 2

Halo Infinite Season 2 Battle Pass Getting Better Rewards, Career Progression Planned

Developer 343 Industries, in an effort to have more frequent updates and better communication with the Halo community, has released an Outcomes report revealing that the Halo Infinite Battle Pass for Season 2 will be getting better rewards and overall enhancements. Better yet, Halo Infinite will be getting a career progression system as well as minor improvements to the game’s customization, shop, and theater modes.

How will Halo Infinite Season 2 Battle Pass be improved?

In response to numerous notes from fans, 343 Industries has released a lengthy post addressing each piece of community feedback. In particular, Halo Infinite will be getting a Career Progression system that will be separate from the Battle Pass. It is currently “in the design phase” and the developer admits that it’s “going to take some time” for the feature to be rolled out.

Also in the pipeline is per-match XP that will take the player’s performance into account. The developer hopes to pair this with a change in Double XP boosts from the current time-based format to Halo 5’s per-match format. While 343 Industries has increased the Double XP boost timer from 15 minutes to 1 hour, it admits that this “isn’t perfect” and will be rolling out both changes in the future.

To improve the value of the Season 2 Battle Pass for both free and premium tracks, the developer has inserted much more customization content in the free track in comparison to Season 1’s Battle Pass. In particular, the Lone Wolves armor core has been placed earlier in the track for easier access. For the premium track, credits are planned as an additional reward tier with players being able to receive up to 1000 credits, which is a small amount but at least it’s better than nothing.

As some fans were disappointed with the game’s Ultimate Rewards, which are received when players complete every Weekly Challenge and the Ultimate Challenge, the developer has removed emblems and backdrops as the Ultimate Reward. Instead, they are focusing on coatings, visors, and stances, with the first five weeks of Ultimate Rewards for Season 2 being coatings for the Battleship Haze MA40 and Alabaster Cognac Razorback, an Amber Yesterday Visor, and a Sentry Stance and Spring Mountain Stance.

In other news, the release date for Halo Infinite Season 2 has been announced with new multiplayer modes like Last Spartan Standing, and Metroid Dread has received a free update that adds three challenge Rush modes.
