The latest pair of games to try out for free as part of the Xbox Free Play Days is available now for Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass members. Football Manager 2022: Xbox Edition and Grow: Song of the Evertree are both available to try in their entirety from April 7-10 until the Xbox Free Play Days period ends at 11:59 PM PT on April 10.
How do Xbox Free Play Days work?
During the Free Play Days, all online and offline modes are available from the Football Manager 2022: Xbox Edition and Grow: Song of the Evertree base games. However, no DLC add-ons will be included for the Xbox Free Play weekend. Football Manager 2022 has in-game time-saver DLC that Free Play gamers will have to purchase if they want to make use of them during the weekend. Grow: Song of the Evertree has no DLC add-ons so this isn’t an issue for this game.
Any progress made during the weekend, including any achievement unlocks, will be transferred to the full version of the game whenever you decide to make a purchase. Football Manager 2022 is available to play in its entirety on Xbox Game Pass. If you want to own it permanently, the game is also on sale at 30% off, bringing it down to $26.79. At the time of writing, Grow: Song of the Evertree is now on sale and is available at the full price of $24.99.
In other news, Remedy has confirmed they are remaking Max Payne and Max Payne 2 in collaboration with Rockstar. The games will be available as a single bundle for PS5 in the future, although a release window hasn’t been announced yet. Elsewhere, a small April update for Xbox Series X|S consoles means players can now switch video/audio inputs on their TV by pressing a button on their Xbox controller instead of their TV’s remote control.
