The latest selection of games to try out for free as part of the Xbox Free Play Days is available now for Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold members. Lost Judgment, Far Cry 6, and Before We Leave are all available to try in their entirety from March 24-27 until the Xbox Free Play Days period ends at 11:59 PM PT on March 27.
How does Xbox Free Play Days work?
During the Free Play Days, all online and offline modes are available from the Lost Judgment, Far Cry 6, and Before We Leave base games. However, no DLC add-ons will be included. This means players won’t be able to access the following content:
- Lost Judgment – School Stories Expansion Pack or Detective Essentials Pack
- Far Cry 6 – Buccaneer Starter Pack, Joseph: Collapse, Vaas: Insanity, or Pagan: Control
Any progress made during the weekend, including any achievement unlocks, will be transferred to the full version of the game whenever you decide to make a purchase. Two of the three games are on sale throughout the Free Play period with the exception being Lost Judgment, which is still at full price across all editions.
Before We Leave is on sale at 50% off, bringing it down to $9.99. All editions of Far Cry 6 are also on sale at 50% off. This leaves the standard edition at $29.99, the Deluxe Edition at $39.99, the Gold Edition at $49.99, and the Ultimate Edition at $59.99. The Far Cry 6 Season pass is on sale at 35% off, reducing it down to $25.99.
In other news, Fortnite’s temporary no-build mode may not be temporary after all. The mode was introduced in repsonse to player criticism the game focused too much on building and not on gunplay, and leaks suggest several of the modes may get a permanent option to turn building off. Elsewhere, Tango Gameworks founder Shinji Mikami has stated he wants the studio to be viewed as one that makes a variety of games and not one that only specializes in survival horror.
