The Book of Boba Fett Season 2

Temuera Morrison wants to fight Mace Windu in Book of Boba Fett Season 2

Could The Book of Boba Fett Season 2 include the return of Mace Windu, despite him last being seen falling to his death in Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith? Boba Fett actor Temuera Morrison would like to see Samuel L. Jackson’s Jedi Master come back in the next season, and Jackson himself has spoken about making it happen, so this Book of Boba Fett Mace Windu rumor could possibly occur.

Is a The Book of Boba Fett Season 2 Mace Windu return possible?

The Book of Boba Fett Season 2

In a new interview with IMDB, Temuera Morrison (Boba Fett, Jango Fett, Clone Troopers) talked about Boba waiting to get revenge on Samuel L. Jackson’s Mace Windu, and that fans should “let Jon Favreau know that we should have another series and I start looking for Mace.” Favreau, of course, is the showrunner of The Mandalorian and creator of The Book of Boba Fett.

While this feels like speculation or wish-fulfillment from Morrison, the possible return of Mace Windu is not without precedent. Samuel L. Jackson has also expressed the desire to come back as the character, insisting that “I am not dead, Mace Windu is awaiting his return.” Jackson briefly reprised the role in voiceover in The Rise of Skywalker, but otherwise has not yet made an appearance.

Many fans have theorized that Windu could still be alive because of the way that he supposedly died in Revenge of the Sith: having a limb cut off and then being thrown from a great height — a fate that a number of Star Wars characters have faced and survived, including Luke Skywalker, Anakin Skywalker, Darth Maul, and Emperor Palpatine.

In last week’s episode, it was revealed that Grogu was present at the Jedi Temple during Order 66 but somehow got away — could Mace Windu have been the one to get Baby Yoda to safety? Hopefully, fans will find out in the final episode of The Book of Boba Fett when it drops tomorrow, February 9, on Disney Plus.
