A Crysis 4 release date may possibly have been revealed, as a new Crysis game has finally been confirmed by developer Crytek as its next game after Hunt: Showdown. The developer announced earlier today that “the next Crysis game is happening” but is only “in the early stages of development” so it may be a while before it releases. Can fans expect to see Crysis 4 PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC versions alongside PS4, Xbox One, and Switch — and on PC, will it be a Crysis 4 Steam or Epic release?
What is the Crysis 4 release date on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X?
Crysis 4 will almost certainly not release until late 2023 or more likely 2024 or beyond for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
The press release for the new Crysis game confirms that it is “in the early stages of development so it will be a while yet” before Crytek has anything more to share about the FPS, or what form it will take. The announcement makes it sound like Crytek is pushing to hire more people to work on Crysis 4, so the game won’t be out anytime soon.
As for if Crysis 4 PC will be exclusive to Steam or Epic, it is entirely possible that the FPS will be a temporary Epic Games Store exclusive. Currently, while all games are available on Steam, the Crysis Remastered Trilogy is still an Epic exclusive. It is likely Crytek may make a similar deal with Crysis 4.
It's time to join the journey and be the hero.

Is there a Crysis 4 PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch release?
It is unlikely that Crysis 4 will release on PS4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch, despite Crysis Remastered hitting all these platforms. While there is not much information on Crysis 4 right now, however, the developer does confirm that the FPS will be “a truly next-gen shooter.” This statement, along with the fact that Crysis 4 probably won’t release for a couple of years, suggests a last-gen release is very unlikely.
